Sodium Lauryl Glucose Carboxylate

(Sodium Lauryl Glucose Carboxylate can be found in my All-Natural Hair Care line)

A new, natural alternative to sulfates and other harsh surfactants. It is biodegradable and derived from natural and renewable sources by the reaction of coconut and palm oils with starch and sugar. It was chosen for its luxurious lathering properties and exceptional mildness. Allergies or sensitivities to this ingredient have not been reported. It also improves dry combing of the hair.

Technically speaking, Sodium Lauryl Glucose Carboxylate is an alkyl-polyglucoside (APG) formed by the reaction of a sugar with a fatty acid. In the most recently published studies on APGs vs. other surfactants, clinical conditions designed to artificially induce skin irritation showed virtually undetectable levels of irritation, or even evidence of application, with an APG surfactant vs. the more widely used sulfate surfactants which showed significant irritation.
